To guarantee the reservation, the guest must make the corresponding payment as indicated in the listing.

The rates, security deposit, cleaning fee, cancellation policy, and other conditions are those specified in the listing at the time of booking. All prices include VAT at the applicable legal rate.

Payment Methods

Payment can be made using credit cards from the following brands: American Express, Visa, Maestro, or MasterCard.

Cancellation Policy

The reservation can be canceled at no charge up to 21 days before the check-in date, unless a different cancellation period is specified in the listing. If a refund is requested, the guest must contact Your Key Madeira directly.

Each reservation is associated with a security deposit of €200, except where stated otherwise for specific properties. The deposit will be refunded between 2 to 5 days after check-out, after the property has been inspected.

Conditions of Stay

The person making the reservation must be at least 18 years old and must stay in the property for the entire duration of the booking. Guests under 18 years old can only be accommodated if accompanied by an adult responsible for the reservation.

The person making the reservation must provide a valid phone number and email address.

Smoking is not allowed inside the property, and parties or events are not permitted.

In accordance with Article 45, Paragraph 1, of the Schengen Agreement Implementation Convention, it is mandatory to report the accommodation of foreign citizens to SEF (Serviço de Estrangeiros e Fronteiras), which applies to all guests who do not hold Portuguese nationality.

All foreign guests must provide their identification details by the check-in date, using the Accommodation Bulletin.

Guests must inform the host of any damage to the property or its contents, equipment, or accessories during their stay, even if they believe the damage is due to normal wear and tear and not caused directly by them. Failure to report such damages may result in responsibility for repairs.

Check-in and Check-out

At check-in, identification documents may be requested from the person making the reservation and all foreign guests to verify the provided information.

Unless otherwise agreed, check-in is available from 4:00 PM.

Check-out must be completed by 11:00 AM, and all guests must leave the property by that time. If, in any case, the guest wishes to stay past this time, they must notify the host at least 12 hours in advance. If no prior notice is given, an extra charge of €50 per hour will apply.

Any changes to the check-in or check-out dates and times must be agreed upon with the host.

The host is not responsible for any items left behind in the property after check-out. If any belongings are found, they may be returned to the guest upon request, with the guest responsible for any shipping costs.

Cleaning, Bed Linen, and Towels

The property will be cleaned before the guests’ arrival. The basic service includes towels, bed linens, and extra blankets.

For stays longer than 7 nights, guests can request linen and towel changes. Additional cleaning services are also available as needed.

Guests are responsible for keeping the property tidy and clean during their stay and must leave it in good condition at check-out.

Trash must be disposed of in the appropriate bins, such as those on the street, and not left inside or in front of the property.

Noise, Illegal Activities, and Security

According to the law, the nighttime rest period is from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM, and guests must maintain silence during this period.

Guests should avoid disturbing neighbors, particularly when opening or closing doors of the property or building, when applicable.

Reservations for illegal or immoral activities will not be accepted.

Guests are responsible for their safety during their stay and must follow local regulations.

Legislation and Unforeseen Events

This agreement is made between the guests and the host, who is authorized to provide the rental of the property. The agreement grants the guests the right to occupy the property for the agreed period and under the specified conditions.

Guests are not considered tenants and do not have exclusive possession of the property.

If, for any reason, the reserved property becomes unavailable due to damages caused by unforeseen situations (e.g., water or gas leaks), the host will not be held responsible for the inconvenience but will take necessary measures to accommodate the guests in a property with similar characteristics.

Changes and Jurisdiction

The host reserves the right to update the terms and conditions at any time as necessary.

These terms and conditions are governed by Portuguese law. In case of disputes related to any reservation, Portuguese courts will have exclusive jurisdiction.
